Today we will be delivering all the generous donations in support of the Veterans outreach center to the Teamsters transport to be delivered tomorrow on Veterans day. I’m very proud to report that the members really stepped up and our collective contributions are going to have an impact in supporting our veterans locally. A special thanks to members Mike Langan and Sue Bovenzi who had the most participation at their locations. Today they’ll be delivering the Collection on the Union’s behalf. As part of the collection we had some very generous gifts by individuals that went way above what was being asked. A great effort from all involved and Thank you to everyone who participated.
That leads into tomorrow being Veteran’s Day. I want to thank all of our Retirees, Active members and your families who have served in our armed forces for your sacrifice to our great Country.
Retirees, it was announced at this morning’s health care fair that the packages with the different plan summaries are in the mail. You will have until November 22nd to make any changes to your health insurance for next year. It is my understanding for those retirees after 2007 that the Company subsidy wasn’t included in your pricing sheets. If you’ve any questions please call Milliman or the HR Benefits center. Prices for 2018 have gone up across the board.
Lastly I want to thank members Jarounda Gamble and Demiah Smith for your hard work over the last 4 weeks. They’ve done a lot of work on our behalf in our community helping to support CWA endorsed candidates mainly Todd Baxter for Monroe County Sheriff. Congratulations to Todd on his Victory.
