To All Members & Retirees,

I regret to inform you that the Local is cancelling this year’s Christmas Gala scheduled for Friday, December 8th at the RIT Inn & Conference Center.  The Local sent every member and retiree an invitation and with the party just over a week away, the response rate has been unusually low compared to the last two years.

I would like to thank members Patti Roberts and Chris Cordes for their hard work, time, and commitment to organize a party that everyone who attended seem to thoroughly enjoy.  It is no small project to organize an event of this size.  Those who did sign up and paid, you will be reimbursed for your payments.

On behalf of the Union, Executive Board, and Office Staff, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas.  I’m very thankful to all who have contributed to the efforts of our Union to secure contracts that provide for a decent standard of living for our families.  For those groups where we haven’t secured contracts, we will continue to work on your behalf to negotiate fair wages and benefits.
