Tape Release 10/14/19

A reminder, Wednesday is a Union Activity Day for the entire Frontier membership.  Membership meetings are at 10am and 2pm at the Union Hall and 5:30pm at the RIT Inn & Conference Center.  We’re also holding a meeting on Thursday at 8:15am at the Union Hall for those working the night shift.

We are mobilizing for Members and Retirees to bring non-perishable food items, toiletries, or a cash donation for the members of the UAW who are now entering their 5th week of being out on strike, to a membership meeting this week or drop off at the Union Hall.  Items such as canned tuna fish, chicken broth, and bags of white potatoes are being sought.

Our CWA Brothers & Sisters from Connecticut whose contract was set to expire at Midnight tonight have extended the contract to midnight Saturday of this week.  We will be discussing this at the Membership Meeting.

The Company has transferred 22 technicians to Rural West for this week, including 6 Carrier techs, 9 Splicers, and 5 Air Pressure employees.  A reminder for all techs, we do not have flexibility to perform Carrier work, Splicing work, or Air Pressure work while working IR demand trouble and orders.  If you are assigned this work, notify your supervisor and politely turn it back.

This is your President, John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape, the place where we’re Union and Proud of it.
