Membership updates:
The sale of Frontier to Verizon became official today, it’s a 20 billion dollar deal for all of Frontier. It will be many months before the impact becomes clear for our members and retirees. What we do know is it will take time to be approved by all the government regulatory bodies. We have reached out to all of our Local Political allies including Congressman Joe Morelle to discuss the sale and our concerns, they’ve all pledged their support if we need help in any way. As far as impact on current negotiations, that remains to be seen as the contract has been extended until December and no meetings have been scheduled to resume negotiations.
