Tape Release 5/16/25
Tape Release Friday May 16th, 2025
An issue came up yesterday as one of our Rural techs was pulled over by a Livingston County Sheriff and issued a ticket for not having in his possession proof of a Certified Medical exam. This technician was driving a bucket truck and a non CDL driver. The Company is investigating the requirement for non CDL drivers who drive vehicles between 10,000 and under 26,000 pounds to have proof of a Certified Medical exam in possession. Since we don’t haul hazardous materials and drive out of state, the determining factor is whether you had a license of any type prior to 1/1/2004, grandfathering all drivers who had a license prior to this date. More information will be forthcoming on the issue.
A couple of website resources from the NYS DOT are listed below.

We have had a follow up discussion on the NYSSL which the Union reiterated its position that we get up to 7 days of pay per absence.
Also, the Company has reached out to the Union for bargaining dates the first week of June. As far as we know, our CWA Brothers and Sisters in Connecticut have been bargaining with frontier as their contract expires on May 31st. They have reported little progress.
This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape.
