The Communications Workers of America supports the Commission approval of the transaction. The Local expects the completion of the transaction by the end of February of 2026 and negotiations with Verizon to start soon thereafter. Currently there are 8500 Verizon employees represented by the CWA from Long Island to Buffalo. The Union looks forward to productive negotiations and securing good wages and benefits for our members.
We have received notification and information from Mark Fusco of Frontier’s Labor Department that we did not reach the participation threshold for our members to qualify for the annual Take the Lead bonus. The members reached the Revenue targets but fell short on membership participation.
On behalf of the Officers and Staff I’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. The office will be open on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape.
