    Happy New Year everyone!

Please listen to the following membership updates:

Frontier HR has advised the Union that it’s the intent to payout the annual Performance bonus early due to the sale on or about February 18th.  Members who choose to have their bonus deposited into their 401K will have until February 6th to so.  An email is being sent to everyone with the directions on how to select this option.  We have not been provided with the % payout.

We have been informed that the Company has again allowed Its Annual NYS Permits to expire.  It is anticipated that it may take up to two weeks to secure the new permits for 2026.  If you are assigned a job on a state highway, please contact your supervisor for direction.  The NYS DOT has proven in 2025 that it’s been aggressive in its enforcement and may not take too kindly that Frontier again failed to get its annual permits in a timely manner.

The Company has raised the issue on the interpretation of the NYSSL and our personal illness and injury benefits under the CBA and how they should be administered.  Their has been discussion that the first 56 hours of absence will be coded as NYSSL and then any remaining occurrences will fall under the personal illness or injury which provided for paid time up to the first 7 calendar days and subject to the existing attendance policy.  More information will be forthcoming

The anticipated closing date of the Frontier sale to Verizon has been estimated to be January 21st.  It is not anticipated that any contract discussions will take place until the sale has been finalized.

This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape.
