Tape Release 9/23/21
To all Frontier Members:
The Union and the Company sat down at the bargaining table yesterday to begin negotiations; also present with Local 1170 were bargaining committee members from Local 1111 and 1122. The Union’s opening remarks were focused on the commitments and sacrifices our members have made in the last year and a half, working through bankruptcy, covid 19 and the pandemic. Our objective is to negotiate a fair contract for our members and make sure that every member has a place in this company moving forward. We also had a 15-minute presentation in regard to the opportunities that the region presents for the company and the knowledge and experience of our members totaling over 7,000 years of service to the Company. The Union passed several non-economic proposals, bargaining is set to resume Tuesday, October 5th.
The Union is saddened to announce the passing of retiree Frank Ponticello on July 28th, at the age of 88. Frank retired as an IR installer in 1993 with 37 years of service. On behalf of the Union, I want to extend our condolences to Frank’s family and friends.
This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape. AND WE ARE CWA STRONG.
