United Way Labor Recognition Awards Dinner

At last night’s Annual United Way Labor Recognition Awards Dinner, the following awards were presented:

Richard M. Downey Heart of Gold Award was presented to Teamsters Local 118 for their outstanding support and commitment to local charitable organizations and water donation to Flint, Michigan and hurricane relief efforts in Houston, Texas.

Robert J. Flavin Community Service Award was presented to CSEA Local 828 President Bess Watts. Bess has been recognized for her work within the Labor Movement and the Rochester community.

The United Way of Greater Rochester also made a generous contribution to the Robert J. Flavin Scholarship Fund to help CWA Local 1170 Members, Retirees, Children, and Grandchildren with educational expenses.
