Tape Release 3-24-17
Tape Release Friday March 24th, 2017
Our 17,000 CWA Union Brothers and Sisters are back on the job after a one day walk out at ATT Landline in California and Nevada. The Company has reversed its unilateral decision to change working conditions. My guess is they’ll think twice before doing that again.
Locally I want to thank our members from the CNOC who came out to picket in support of our ATT mobility brothers and Sister who are fighting for a fair contract. This weeks picket location will be the ATT mobility store on W. Ridge Rd across from Greece Ridge Mall. Picket date will be Thursday March 30th from 5pm to 6 pm. We will be mobilizing during the week for this picket.
Today we end the day on a good note. The proposed Health care bill that was going to strip many health care services for Millions of people was pulled off the floor of the United States Congress. Our Congresswoman Louise Slaughter had a great quote in the paper today, “The 2010 bill was negotiated by professionals, this bill was negotiated by amateurs”. Louise is still a feisty cat.
Lastly I want to thank all of you who have spent the last two weeks busting your backs to get our customers back in service, you deserve recognition for your hard work and commitment for taking care of our customers. Thanks and have a good weekend.
This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape, the place where were Union and Proud of it.
