Tape Release Member and Retiree Update Wednesday September 4th, 2024
This afternoon on every major newswire it has been announced that Verizon is in advanced talks to buy Frontier, and a sale is expected to be announced by this Friday. The Local doesn’t have a response at this time as we need to see final details of the deal.
We will certainly be keeping a close eye and reaching out to our National Union for further information on the matter. We’re currently under contract until December 14th, so no changes will be pending in the immediate future that we can foresee. I also want to thank all members and retirees who showed up for the Labor Day Parade and for all the volunteers who helped get us ready for the parade and decorated the trailer.
