Membership updates:

Monday September 1st is an official Union Activity day for the entire membership in recognition of Labor Day.  Frontier has been notified of such.

Your Union is participating in the annual City of Rochester Labor Day Parade, meeting location is on Meigs St., between Park Ave. and East Ave., starting time for parade is 11am, try and make it there by 10:30 am and wear a red shirt.  For those who march we have a great price for Seabreeze tickets which includes an all-day park pass and all you can eat lunch, $10 each and up to five per family.  Also, for the first time a Labor Day event is being sponsored at Frontier Field right after parade, free food, cheap drinks, band and other entertainment, wrist bands will be available at the parade.

The Union is asking for your participation, we don’t ask for much of your time, so come out and celebrate with the Teamsters, UAW, Firefighters and dozens of other Unions.  We have fought for fair raises, good benefits and an affordable health care plan, all which would not have been achieved if not for our Union and your participation.  So, I thank you for being members, your participation and your willingness to stand up for your rights.

On another note, CWA Local 1298 in Connecticut contract expires this Saturday, we will be watching for any movement in these negotiations.
