Retiree Updates:

On behalf of the Local I’m saddened to announce the passing of the following retirees and send our condolences to their family and friends.

Phil Mercado passed away on April 14th at the age of 69.  Phil was a switch tech at the time of his retirement in June of 2023 working primarily on the west side of the City.  He retired with 36 years of service.  The following arrangements have been announced.
Calling Hours:
Monday April 20th from 4-8PM at the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Highway
A funeral service will be held Tuesday April 21st, 10am at the Funeral Home.

Caryl Robson Passed away on April 6th at the age of 89.  Caryl was a lineman out of the suburban territory until his retirement in 1999.
Calling hours and funeral services have already been held.

Gerald Meier passed away on April 8th at the age of 91.  Gerald was a switchman at the time of his retirement in 1985. Gerald retired with 32 years of service with Rochester Telephone.

Retirees also have a casino trip planned for June 1st.  Please call and RSVP as soon as possible to save a spot.  We need 40 to participate to make the event a go.  All retirees have been mailed the details.

Membership Updates:

Retroactivity payments for the period of June 14th 2024 thru October 18th, 2025 are expected in this weeks paychecks.  Please review your paystubs thoroughly and call with any questions.

Our members at AT&T Mobility have been working under an extended contract for two months.  The latest has extension expires in 1 week.  Our members there have been fighting for improved wages and protecting their health insurance benefits from further cuts.

I have no updates on the wireless MOA.
