Tape Release 11/10/25
Membership and Retiree Updates:
Tomorrow is a day that we thank and honor those who honorably served both living and dead in the military both in wartime or peace. It is estimated that there are 18 million veterans still living. Many may not know but federal law requires a two minute moment of silence at 2:11 pm on Veterans Day to participate in the National Moment of Remembrance. Please set your alarms on your phones to participate.
On behalf of Local 1170 and its Officers, we commend all our Members and Retirees who have served and thank you for your sacrifice, commitment and patriotism.
It is a day that is important to myself and family. My Grandfather served in WW II in the Army and participated in the battle of the Bulge. My father is a veteran of the Air Force. I have uncles who participated in the Korea and Vietnam wars and all told had 9 uncles who served in the Navy, Army and Marines. Some are saying how is that possible, my mother is one of 16 and my father 1 of 7.
And Lastly I’d like to thank all the Frontier members who showed up for the meetings last Wednesday. We had about 50% of the members turn out. As I said at the meeting the National Union has put a team together to work on issues at the NYS PSC level and we’re hoping for some positive things to develop.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union Tape.
