Tape Release – August 25, 2017
Frontier has notified your Union that they are going to announce a force reduction this coming Monday, August 28th. As of our last discussion with them, the reduction will be eight employees in field operations from the Sales and Service, Network Tech, and Communications Coordinator II job classifications. Emails with details will be going out to employees in those classifications as to the enhanced severance benefits. Your Union will be holding a meeting very soon for any members interested in volunteering to leave, please contact the office with your interest in attending. The Company must seek volunteers in those titles first before any involuntary force reductions take place. As we get more information the tape will be updated.
Also, the annual Rochester Labor Day parade will be Monday, September 4th. Your Union will be marching only if we get participation from the membership. Discount tickets to Seabreeze Park for rides and picnic will be available at the parade for those and their family members who march. Tickets will be $15 each. We need those who are going to attend to call the office so we know how many tickets to bring. Each year we ask you to join us, it is more important than ever for you to come out and show your solidarity, as we will be in the fight of our lives to survive the next couple of years battling corporations and politicians that seek to destroy us. We’re only asking for a couple hours of your time to support all that labor has fought for in paid holidays, sick time, vacation, good wages and health insurance plus all the other benefits. They were not given to us. We had to bargain hard over all these years to get these benefits. Labor day will be a Union Activity Day for the entire membership.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape. The place where were Union and Proud of it.
