At yesterday’s Unit 2 meeting Scott Olyer was nominated and reelected as Unit Chairman and Diane Holloway was reelected as Unit Vice Chair.  The members covered under this unit include all Desk Techs and Comm. Coordinator 1’s.   Congratulations to the two of them and thank you to the members who showed out for the meeting.

A reminder a Unit 4 meeting is being called for next Tuesday, 5:30pm, at the Union hall.  The meeting has been called for all Metro East and West Sales and Service techs.  On the agenda is the nomination of unit officers for the executive board and CWA/Verizon updates.

Retirees and active members who are participants in the Frontier frozen pension plan, notices are being mailed to your home from Milliman Service center with information concerning the annual funding notice, which the plan is fully funded and notification that the Frontier plan is being merged into the Verizon Management plan.  Let me clearly state that no benefit formulas or other provisions of the plan are being changed.  Current retirees will continue to receive your monthly pension checks with no changes.

We have been notified from the company’s Labor Representative that the Retroactivity adjustment from June 14th, 2024, to June 29th, 2024, will be in tomorrow’s paycheck.
