    Tape Release 5/1/26

The Local would like to congratulate and recognize the following members who have retired from Frontier:

Suzanne Jansen – Sue’s last day of work was yesterday.  She retires as a supplies coordinator with over 47 years of service and the most senior member in our bargaining unit.  Sue held positions in many different clerical titles during the course of her career.

James McLaughlin – Jim’s last day was yesterday as well, Jim retires with 33 years of service, all as a lineman working out of the Rural area.  Jim, over the last several years, has served as Vice Chairman of the Suburban Unit on the Union’s executive board and a member of the Union’s contract work committee.

Kurt Fitzgerald –  Kurt has put in his notice to retire and his last day of work is coming up in a couple of weeks.  He retires with over 29 years of service, all as a Desk Technician.  I want to thank all three of them for their membership and participation in our Union.  We wish them well in retirement.

    Other Updates:
The Company has acknowledged that they owe two more weeks of retroactivity pay and payroll is working on it. I do not have confirmation yet as to the payout date.

We still do not have an agreement in place on Verizon Wireless and broadband discounts.

We have scheduled unit meetings coming up for Desk Techs, Communications Coordinator 1’s, and all the Metro Sales and Service techs.  Announcements have been emailed and text messaged out.  These are Union activity days for these work groups.

Last, it has come to my attention that there may be issues with expirations on registrations and inspections.  If either is out of date, please notify your supervisor and seek direction to be in compliance.  Any tickets, you’ll likely be held accountable.

This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape.
