Tape Release 1/27/26 – Verizon Updates

Membership updates:

Tomorrow’s membership meetings have been postponed due to the following and the Union activity day called off.

The National Union has contacted us in regard to negotiations with Verizon, as they’re currently discussing an extension of the Verizon NY contract.  The status of our current contract is being considered as part of those discussions.  Meetings will be rescheduled once we have more information.  You’ll have your evening free so throw an extra log on the fire to keep warm.

The Company has confirmed its intent to pay out the annual performance bonus on February 18th.  It hasn’t calculated the percentage payout yet, but the minimum payout is 4.5% of top pay within your title. You must have worked at least one month in the past year to be eligible for the payout.  2025 retiree’s payout is prorated based on full months worked.

Verizon will be requesting members take their Code of Conduct training in the next couple of weeks.  The Union advises you to print out and read all materials.  Once you’ve signed and acknowledged the training, you’ll be responsible for knowing the content.  Please take your time even if it takes hours to read all the material.
