Tape Release 11/12/25 Important Frontier Update
Membership update:
The following agreement was reached by our National CWA reps and Verizon. In return for the below considerations, the National Union has agreed to support Verizon’s application to approve a change in control which Frontier will become wholly owned by Verizon.
- Within 120 days of the close of the post-merger, the Company will eliminate its use of contractors for fiber to the home installs and fiber repairs.
- The Company will implement a plant pride program, which is preventive maintenance program patterned after Verizon’s and reviewed by the Public Service Commission.
- The Company will hire at least 20 regular full time employees, job titles to be determined.
- For a period of 36 months following the close of the merger, the Company shall not involuntarily layoff any employee who was an employee at the time of the merger including the 20 new hires.
The Union views this agreement as very positive and believes it will be constructive to our wage and benefit discussions when bargaining resumes.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape.
