Tape Release 5/6/25 – Frontier Sick Time
The Union is in strong disagreement with the information that was emailed to the members in regard to the Company’s interpretation of NYSSL and our contract language. I didn’t agree with the Company on any examples or limit of seven paid sick days per year, nor did the Company share those examples with the Union. I expressed to Mr. Fusco that we have basically unlimited sick time in coordination with the attendance policy and furthermore they know that, as the Company made a proposal in bargaining to limit our sick time to ten days per year. The only thing we agreed upon is the law states that you cannot be disciplined that fifty-six hours of sick time is protected, meaning you can’t be disciplined for such. Nothing in the New York State Law changed any provision of our contract other than new hires now accrue sick time immediately and employees can take it in two hour blocks. If anyone is denied paid sick time, they should contact the hall immediately.
This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape.
