NYS Fiber Buildout

Monday, June 26, 2023, from Pavilion, NY, United States Senator Chuck Schumer announces NYS to receive 670 million dollars for fiber buildout. NYS will be responsible for submitting a plan to the Federal Commerce Department in order to receive funds.
The CWA Broadband Brigade, sponsored by Dennis Trainor and CWA District 1, has already started training CWA members on how to be involved in this program. Frontier Sales & Service Tech Chris Cordes and Network Tech Mike Miceli have agreed to participate from Local 1170.
