Tape Release Friday June 15, 2018
The Union and the Company have finally reached a signed settlement Settling the pending grievance over call outs for sales and service techs and Carrier techs as well as the Unfair labor charge. A copy of the agreement will be posted to the Members section of the Unions website by end of business on Monday. A couple of quick highlights;
- 12 Hour overtime make up for anyone who’s taken a call out in the last 4 years
- Ability to voluntarily opt off the call out list
- New system to track call outs, up and running by July 1st
- All stake outs will be dispatched out of Rochester
Thank you to all the Union Reps who worked on this issue over the last two years.
I’m saddened to announce the passing of Retiree Ray Bubel. Ray retired as a cable splicer in April of 2002 with 36 years of service. He was a great Union man serving on the Local’s executive board representing splicers, a steward and a regular attendee at Retirement events even though he was of ill health. Ray is the father of current splicer Mike Burkhart. On behalf of the Union I extend our sympathies to Ray’s wife Judy, his son Michael and all of their family and friends.
The following arrangements have been announced:
Friends may call on Wednesday June 20th from 4pm-7pm at Leo Beams funeral home, on 2771 Chili Ave. A service is going to be held on Thursday June 21st, 10am, at St. Pius church, 3000 Chili Ave.
This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape, When workers win we all win.
