Membership Updates:

The first Polling for the four Sales and Service positions is complete.  Technicians who responded with their interest to the Suburban positions have been notified and the openings have been filled.  The following technicians have filled the openings.

  • Joe Cicero                   Honeoye Falls
  • Todd Clifford             Victor
  • Todd Page                  Geneseo
  • Jason Heaney                         Geneseo

A second canvassing has been emailed out to all Sales and Service techs today.  Technicians will have until next Thursday at 4pm to respond.  The following locations are being canvassed.

  • Livonia
  • Baytown/Ridge rd.
  • Two openings at Stottle Rd.
  • Merchants Rd.
  • Long Pond

Next Friday we will be meeting with the Company as to the order for the filling of these vacancies.

A notice was emailed out to all clerical work groups canvassing for interest in the Commercial Noc center clerical jobs.  The canvassing was closed as of end of business Thursday October 15th.

Update in regards to the 35 Desk Tech positions.  The eight temporaries that are currently working will be made permanent.  The Company will then canvass the entire membership for interest.  Minimum qualifications include ac/dc and Network plus.  Information will be distributed in the near future in regards to minimum qualifications and certifications that are necessary for the Desk tech positions.

Open enrollment for all active members for your 2016 benefits will take place from October 28th through November 18th.  The FTR High Option plan will not be available this year.  The employee contributions for 2016 are increasing by the following amounts.

Single plan                 $1.10/per month

Employee +1              $2.50/per month

Family no spouse        $2.74/per month

Family                        $2.89/per month

The Union has demanded to bargain with Frontier over the Social Media policy that it has implemented.  CWA in Connecticut has also requested to bargain.  At this time we have asked the Company to Cease and desist with its implementation until this policy has been negotiated.
