Tape Release Thursday, September 3rd, 2015
As Labor Day approaches it is time to show are appreciation to the workingmen and women of the Rochester community for making Rochester work. This Monday the Annual Rochester Labor Day Parade is being held. Unions throughout this community will be coming together as we do every year to March down main Street Rochester. I would ask that you come out and join us to show the Rochester Community your Pride in being part of the Labor movement. The meeting location for us will be on Court St. between Pitken and Chestnut St. I would recommend that marchers arrive at our meeting place between 9:30 and 10:00am as construction in the inner loop has made travel somewhat restricted in the area. The Parade itself begins at 11am. Discounted tickets for Seabreeze that include a picnic will be available for all who march for $15 each. On behalf of your officers I want to thank all of you for your efforts every day in serving our customers and being members of Local 1170.
A reminder this is a Union Activity Day for everyone.
A correction to the previous tape release for ticket prices to the annual Clambake coming up on Sunday, September 27th is as such. Members, retirees and their spouse’s tickets will be $20 each, non-members will still be $55. Please contact the Union Hall for your tickets. We look forward to seeing you there.
Important notification on the 4 Sales and Service positions negotiated in the new CBA. All members will have to the close of business next Friday to put your name in for consideration for the new positions. The positions currently are posted on the Company’s intranet. Please contact your supervisor or the Union hall as soon as possible.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
