Tape Release June 19, 2015
I’m saddened to announce the passing of Joseph Holla. Joe passed on June 15th at the age of 79. He was an active member in the Union serving on the executive board and other capacities during his career with Rochester Telephone/Frontier Corp. Joe retired with 40 years of service with the Company. On behalf of the Union our sympathies go out to Joe’s family and friends.
The following arrangements have been announced:
Calling hours have been announced for today from 4-8pm at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd., Webster, NY. The Funeral mass has been scheduled for Saturday 11am at the Church of Epiphany, 105 W. Main St. Sodus, NY 14551.
I want to thank the members who showed up for yesterday’s meetings and the efforts of the mobilization committee for putting together last night’s event.
Bargaining ended on Wednesday of this week. The contract has been extended to July 16th with bargaining set to resume July 13th. Progress was made on some job protections. However, the Union’s Proposal on a secure force level was met with great resistance by the Company. Mobilization activities will be escalating over the next several weeks, everyone is expected to participate.
Stay United my friends.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape.
