Tape Release Thursday, April 17th 2015 -
On Wednesday in New Haven, Connecticut after two days of intense negotiations an agreement was reached with Frontier as to a Standards of Performance Program for Sales and Service Techs. Your Local’s Committee of Andy Cimino, Carl Ellis, Tim Peffley, area CWA director Deb Hayes and myself, along with Local officers and business agents from Local 1298 in Connecticut, worked side by side for two days in an effort to reach an agreement that was acceptable to both Unions and covers technicians from both Locals in New York and Connecticut.
After two and a half years and over 40 grievances, we finally have a negotiated settlement with improved conditions and a fairer program on your behalf. Meetings will be called shortly to explain the details of the agreement.
This agreement was achieved with the partnership formed with our brothers and sisters of Local 1298 in Connecticut. We want to thank them for their solidarity and support in working together for an agreement that is an improvement over what we both had.
A reminder next Thursday is a membership meeting. Notification with times and locations has already been sent. This will be a Union Activity Day for all Frontier members.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape, the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
