Tape Release Wednesday, March 18th, 2015
A reminder Thursday is a Union Activity day for all Sales and service techs. A meeting is being held at 5pm at the Diplomat party house on Lyell Ave. Please make an effort to be there.
Tomorrow the annual Bonus is being paid for all Frontier members. Take a good look at the amount as some mistakes have already been identified. If not for your Union and the Contract, the bonus amount would’ve been $435 for Table 1 and less for all other titles.
The annual United Way campaign has kicked off. Last week all leadership givers were invited to the annual breakfast and this morning CWA solicitors started meeting with members at W. Henrietta Rd. I want to thank you for being supportive of our community and stepping up to help meet the needs of those facing the many challenges out there. This year Frontier is sponsoring two season tickets to the Buffalo Bills for those who achieve leadership giver status. A leadership giver is someone who steps up and gives $500 per year.
It has been brought to my attention that there are new clerks handling the EME claims that may not be well versed in the program. If you’re having any problems with your claims, please call the hall and we will assist you.
I’m saddened to announce the passing of two retirees, Nicola Girolamo and Frank Wohlganger.
Nicola Girolamo retired in 1987 as an IR/PBX tech with 32 years of service. The following arrangements have been announced.
Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, March 19th from 4-7pm at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A funeral mass is scheduled for this Friday at 9:30am at the Holy Ghost Church, 250 Coldwater Rd.
Frank Wohlganger retired in 1988 as an IR/PBX installer with 38 years of service. Calling hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Hwy South). The funeral service will be held Friday at 11am at the same place.
On behalf of the Local I want to extend our sympathies to both Nicola and Frank’s family and friends.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape. It pays to be Union.
