Tape Release Wednesday, February 25th, 2015
Your 2015 Frontier Bargaining Survey has been posted to the website to fill out and provide your feedback on upcoming negotiations. Please take the time to log in and provide us your thoughts. They are extremely important for your bargaining committee as we prepare for negotiations, which are set to begin in May. Ideally, we would like you to complete the form within the next 2 weeks. Follow up communications will be sent to remind you to participate.
Last Friday your Union met with representatives of Frontier to discuss the Standards of Performance Program as it applies to the Sales and Service Techs. The Union raised its concerns and issues and will be requesting further information on the plan. At this point no one will be administered any discipline for the February numbers but the company has made it clear that they are tracking the numbers for this month. Another meeting has been scheduled and we will keep you informed as we go through the process.
As was announced last week, due to the Anthem security breach everyone should take the time to strengthen your username and password, which is utilized to access the website for your CWA Retirement Plan. This is very important and should not be taken lightly. Any questions, please call the Hall.
Last night was the United Way’s Annual Labor Recognition Dinner. As Master of Ceremony for this event, I’m very honored to represent organized Labor as we recognized the following award winners for their contributions and work for the community. Bob Riley was awarded the Rich Downey Heart of Gold Award. Dave Young from the Building Trades was awarded the Robert Flavin Community Service Award, and Carrie Andrews from NYSUT was awarded the Ray Samson Legacy Award. Sales and Service Tech Chris Cordes and Desk Tech George Madison were recognized as graduates of this year’s Leadership Program. Congratulations to them for stepping up and volunteering to go through the program.
This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union Tape, the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
