Tape Release Tuesday, December 16th, 2014
The arbitration concerning the improper force reduction and transfer of bargaining unit work (LAC/RCV) concluded last Thursday. A decision isn’t expected until February of next year. Today the Union will be at the arbitration hearing for the unjust termination of CNOC clerk Jason Magliocco. If you have an issue in the workplace please contact a steward or executive board member.
The company has notified the Union that it will be transferring three suburban switch techs to metro after the first of the year. The Company has polled for the metro openings. Other pollings and moves set to take place are for the Systems group, CO Installer, and PBX. All pollings have been inside the Network tech title.
Yesterday a meeting was held with Frontier and Union representatives to discuss a growth memorandum tied to new jobs, outside plant improvements for 2015, marketing strategy, and ways to grow the business. The meeting was productive and a future meeting has been scheduled to continue discussions.
I do not have the take the lead bonus figure yet, I hope to have it by Friday and will announce on the Union tape as soon as I do.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
