On a National level it was announced last week that the Communications Workers of America won an election to represent some 15,000 United Airlines workers. This was the biggest organizing victory in the South in over 20 years. Also the National Labor Relations Board, after 11 years, ruled that CNN has to pay back pay to 300 workers represented by CWA for illegally firing them. It is estimated that the back pay settlement could be close to 50 million dollars. Congratulations to the CWA for winning this fight.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape, the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
