Tape Release Wednesday, January 2, 2013
Some of you have experienced issues receiving your paychecks and Take the Lead bonus checks due to Frontier’s elimination of the inter-company courier. Employees reporting to the following locations will have their checks mailed to them until arrangements with the post office and mailbox locations are straightened out: Rushville, Nunda, Avon, Churchville, and Stone Street.
If you have not received your paycheck from last week or your Take the Lead bonus check, please call the Union Hall so we can assist you in getting paid.
The Company has also made an error in regard to retirees’ health care deductions on your pension checks. Retirees who do not have a contribution and saw a six-dollar ($6.00) deduction will see a credit in next month’s pension check.
You will also see smaller paychecks as a result of the reinstatement of the 2% Social Security Tax deduction that you received the last two years. For the last two years you received a 2% tax break for your contributions to Social Security. That 2% tax break was eliminated as part of the deal that was reached in Congress yesterday, thus lowering your take home pay by 2% this week.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
