Force Reduction Update –
Building and Power Techs:
There were no volunteers to take the severance offering. As it stands today, the two junior employees will be laid off as of this Friday. They are Dave Piper who was recently hired in April and Paul Magliocco with 13 years of service.
This past Friday was the last day of work for two long-term members, Sharon Highsmith and Kathy Klein. Both employees volunteered to take the severance offering in October and remained another month to help train their replacements.
Friday was the last day of work for Time Reporting clerks Amber Dibble and Sandystarr Sylar, who are being laid off due to the Company’s recently declared force reduction.
On behalf of the Union, I would like to sincerely thank the members listed above for their dedication to this Union. We continue to be disheartened by the downsizing and the loss of good people and workers.
A post card has been mailed to all active members in regards to the Unions Supplemental Disability Plan. Members have until December 21st to either sign up or cancel their coverage. The notification must be in writing to the Union office. If you are currently in the plan and wish to continue, you do not have to do anything.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape, the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
