Tape release Monday, October 29, 2012
The Department of Labor will be conducting an informational meeting today at 1pm for all members affected by the force reduction facing layoff from the Company. All members affected have been released to attend the meeting. Any questions, please call the office.
Hurricane Sandy is expected to have a major impact on the area beginning this evening extending into tomorrow. Due to extreme wind and flooding, trees and power lines are expected to be down and provide the potential for dangerous hazards. Remember, no job is so important that it cannot be performed safely. We haven’t had a storm of this magnitude in some time. Follow all of your safety rules.
The retiree meeting scheduled for Wednesday at 10am is still scheduled at this time. If it becomes necessary to cancel due to the weather, the tape will be updated to announce such cancellation.
This Saturday will be the last labor walk for Louise Slaughter and Ted O’Brien. We will be meeting at 9am at 120 Thurlow Ave., near N. Winton Rd. and Browncroft Blvd. Please contact the hall if you’re available to volunteer two hours.
This is your President John Pusloskie, thanking you for calling your Union tape, the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
