Membership Updates -
The request has been made for 20 more 1170 technicians to travel to West Virginia to continue to support them in the service of their customers. The group of 20 returned yesterday with the new group leaving today.
Sales and Service Tech Stewards - please report in daily how many jobs are being loaded to you. We have to make sure that we’re servicing our customers here, either with overtime or utilization of the extended pecking order.
Contrary to the rumors in the field, this Union has not agreed to the distribution of truck by performance. I have been notified by HR of management’s intent to do so. The Union has expressed its concerns and requested to meet over the issue.
At this time, I would like to thank two local heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, Private First Class Theodore Glende and Corporal Joshua Ashley, who were both killed in action in Afghanistan this past month. Both were 23 years old. On behalf of this Union, I extend our sympathies to their family and friends. The Union will be making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project on their behalf.
This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape the place where we fight for the respect you deserve.
