The company has a large volume of DSL orders due to be installed.  They will be going to the extended pecking order for Sales & Service this evening, polling those that are qualified to work.  Any tech who wishes to work who hasn’t put their name in, please do so and the company will accept your availability.

This week’s overtime lowlist will be used for overtime solicitation through this Saturday.  Beginning on Sunday overtime will be solicited with the new lowlist for the year with everyone beginning at zero and going by seniority as it always has.

Please work safely as it still is very slick in spots.

This is your President John Pusloskie wishing you a safe day.

Weather Alert

Temperatures are expected to be in single digits for most of the day and with the wind chill factored in it will be below zero.  Please follow all safety procedures and do not allow yourself to be overexposed to the harsh conditions outside.  Remember, no job is so important that it cannot be performed safely.

This is your President John Pusloskie reminding you to work safely and I hope you have a great day.

On behalf of your Union Officers, Executive Board, and Office Staff, I want to wish all the Members, Retirees, and your families a Merry Christmas and safe and happy Holiday Season!

We have a lot to be thankful for including our good paying jobs.  We also need to be thankful for all those who serve our country to protect us and remember the thousands of men and women who will not be with their families.  Please take the time to remember them in your thoughts and prayers, and that they may return to their families safely when their duty is done.

Thank you for your support and membership to our organization.

This is your President John Pusloskie wishing you the best of all things this Holiday Season.

I have received notification from the Company that the Take the Lead bonus check will be paid next week.  It is estimated to be around $900.  Thanks to everyone for the great results.

As I said on the tape Wednesday, the Company has been denying floating holidays.  Please advise your Steward, Executive Board Officer, or Union Officers to have grievances filed on your behalf.  It was never the intent to have these approved by management based on the number of people scheduled to work.

This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape.  Have a great day.

I’m saddened to announce the passing of another retiree.  Donald Engemann passed on December 13th.  He was hired in 1958 and retired in 1993 with 35 years of service as an IR-PBX Tech.

On behalf of the Local, I extend our sympathies to Don’s family and friends.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19th at the Open Bible Fellowship, 3639 Redman Rd in Brockport.

It is getting near the end of the year and some of you have floating holidays left.  If you’re denied a floating holiday, please contact your Steward, Executive Board Officers, or Local Officer to have a grievance filed.  It was never the intent to have these floating holidays tied to the amount of people scheduled to work.  The Union is pursuing this issue.  Please make us aware so we can grieve it on your behalf.

Tomorrow is the holiday party at Woody’s II on W. Henrietta Rd.  It will start at 3:30pm.  Hope to see you there.

This is your President John Pusloskie thanking you for calling your Union tape.  Have a safe day.
